Early Access Community - Update #2: Labels, Transitions and Stricter Moderation

The Mark of a Map
You’ve loved the improvements made to what we’d call FATMAP specific features, but you’ve also asked ‘where are the traditional map features?’. Well, we’ve delivered them in this release. You’ll find the compass in the bottom right-hand corner and labels, from global to area level, are now clearly visible and displayed at the relevant times.
Space Hopper
When we saw this implemented it really changed the navigation experience for us. It’s not something you specifically requested but we’d love to know what you think. Now, when you transition between adventures and destinations, we fly you there in a smooth animation. I think of it like riding a space hopper in slow-motion.
Improving Adventures
You noticed a bunch of missing data and we appreciate how thorough you guys were in spotting all those affected adventures. We improved our filtering process which means any adventures with incomplete or missing information won’t show (and also our content team is alerted so we can fix it as soon as possible).
Things to ask yourself when testing…
- Is it easier to search the map now you have the compass and labels? What’s missing?
- Are you enjoying the transitions? When are they good and when do they get in the way (if at all)?
- Are the adventures complete? Would you like to see anything else?
- What would make your experience event better in the next release?
