The steeps of Monte Rosa

If you ask anyone about the freeride in Monte Rosa, they’ll tell you of the diversity. Big, open freeride lines to complex, steep and exposed descents. Punta Vittoria is a line that definitely falls into the latter category.

Found in the Monte Rosa Range in Italy, the line drops in from the Punta Vittoria (3439m) peak. It shares its ridge line with both the Punta Giordani (4046m) and Pyramide Vincent (4215m) making for a stunning area to explore for any big mountain skier and a contender for anyones bucket list.

The key to unlocking the line is understanding how to tackle the first traverse. It’s super exposed and committing and not to be taken lightly.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Every Damn Weekend team, the Italian steep skiers have been exploring the steepest and most aesthetic lines in the Alps and producing edits that are as informative as they are inspiring.

They all have full-time jobs but manage to get to the mountains every (damn) weekend to not only ski but also capture their adventures.
