Fox to Premiere New Show: The Masked Tic-Tac-Toe Player
The Fox Network is adding new original programming to its Wednesday lineup with their new show, The Masked Tic-Tac-Toe Player.
This show joins The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice, and Alter Ego in Fox’s lineup of talent competitions and largely follows the same format.
How it works is a celebrity will enter the stage wearing a ridiculous, shiny costume and then sit down at a table opposite a man. The celebrity will play the first move in a game of tic-tac-toe and then the panel of celebrity judges will try to guess who it is even though it could be almost anyone in the world.
Host, Ken Jeong, will say something like, “Okay judges, our first contestant, The Praying Mantis, played an X in the bottom-right square. Who is it?”
Then the panel of judges, four Ken Jeong clones from one of Fox’s secret Content Recycling Laboratories, will yell over each other and exchange shitty puns for the remainder of the hour until it’s time to guess.
It was also announced that The Masked Tic-Tac-Toe Player has been picked up for eight seasons over the next year.
The show premieres this week with six episodes back-to-back, followed by another all new Fox Show: Jingling Keys.
