Summer Paddle Series #3: Quail Lake — Colorado Springs, Colorado

QUAIL LAKE is a small, easily accessible lake with beautiful views. If you are looking for long-distances and isolation, this lake is not for you. A great lake for beginners and available every day for SUP adventures.
COST: $5 daily use pass or $50 annual permit — for non-motorized watercraft
Where to Purchase Non-Motorized Day Permit
• Sertich Ice Center: Mondays-Fridays; 8 AM-5 PM
• Permits also available at Prospect Lake during vendor’s hours of operation.
• Coming soon — non-motorized day permit kiosk at Quail Lake.
HOURS OF OPERATION: Everyday, from sunrise to sunset.
Colorado State Statutes — no person shall operate a personal watercraft between on half hour after sunset and one half hour before sunrise.
GOOD TO KNOW: 22 water surface acres. Non-motorized use only. No special equipment needed. Portable toilet in parking lot. Boat ramp is handicap accessible. Elevation 6,000 feet above sea level.
DIRECTIONS: from Downtown Colorado Springs | 5.6 miles | 10 minute drive
• Get on I-25 South from North Cascade Avenue and W Bijou Street
• Follow I-25 South to Lake Avenue. Take exit 138 from I-25 South
• Take Venetucci Boulevard to East Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard
• Quail Lake Park will be on your left
