JPG Store: Recap 02
“Tough times demand tough decisions” says CEO Ben Zhou as crypto exchange Bybit announces 30% job cuts while facing the deepening bear market. This matches Kraken’s forecasts as they also juggle the tough decision to layoff 30% of their own workforce. Yep, these are big ouchies to say the least…
But watch out crypto winter, because NFT adoption is driving full speed ahead!
Timex is creating a limited edition set of 500 Bored Ape Yacht Club watches for collection holders, while BMW recently applied to trademark its logo for NFT and metaverse applications.
Let’s pause and reflect on these developments.
Brands like BMW and Timex jumping into the NFT world would have absolutely melted faces just a handful of fiscal quarters ago. And now the winter cold stifles all the hype.
But that’s the thing about winters.
They always end.
And new growth always follows.
Now let’s shake off the macro news and get to the good stuff… Here’s your JPG Store weekly recap!
New Homepage Redesign has induced some well deserved doubletakes as JPG.Store continues to mature beautifully like a fine wine. We also reorganized everything to intuitively guide users to key areas of interest. Functionality marrying aesthetics is what NFTs are all about!
A sweet new “trending collection” scroll wheel is also included in the redesign. Now you can quickly stay up-to-date on what’s poppin’ off while you’re away watching all that fútbol. Sorry Americans, NFT life is truly global so I simply refuse to call it soccer.
Trait Counts are now displayed within collection pages. Now you can instantly appreciate all our rad artists digging deep to create insanely vast combinations of traits. I’m sure Darwin is smiling at such genetic diversity.
When navigating “back”, JPG Store now remember your scroll position! Wow, it’s finally time to let go of that “Post Traumatic Scroll Disorder”… Now go ahead and check out any NFT without getting booted back a few thousand scrolls to the top! Goodbye carpal tunnel! IYKYK.
Added Buy NFT
button to assets on the “For Sale” page. Saved ya a whole click and new page refresh! (I don’t know about you, but my 9-year-old Lenovo appreciates the seemingly miniscule efficiency upgrade. Yes, I can’t wait to upgrade this potato but she just refuses to go down! Just like my 2002 seafoam green Saturn. Started from the bottom, now I… have NFTs? LFG!)
Single Asset Minting supports MP4! No, this does NOT mean you can now call us MP4 Store. That’s a dumb name. JPG Store all day, err’day.
- We now display the correct messaging while loading in fresh data on item, bundles, and activity pages.
- We fixed some filtering issues on the “For Sale” page of user profiles.
- Added missing filters for All Collections page.
- Filtering assets on mobile will now match the desktop experience. Are you seeing a pattern yet? One of our devs apparently got some new boots and went on a “filter bugs” massacre this week. Stomp and squash away brotha!
- Collection banners now update consistently when navigating through collections. And thank goodness because a quality collection banner really does it for me. Hnghhh.
- Deep links with filters will now load the correct filtered data. C’mon man, you’ve squashed so many filter bugs that the word “filter” doesn’t even sound like a real word anymore. Filter. Filter. Now it doesn’t even look right!
- Price history now accounts for accepted offers. Now who doesn’t love more price data, AMIRITE?! Drown me in data, daddy! (I wonder if my editor will let me leave that in…)
- pool.pm links for bundle items now point to the correct asset.
- MP4 NFTs minted through JPG Store now have thumbnails showing up. It’s like we manicured the MP4 NFTs. Now you can stare at pretty thumbnails all you want!
We established the precedent last week and there’s no way I’d leave ya hangin’ without another Health and Happiness Tip this week :)
Emotional Intelligence is defined as the capability to identify, manage, evaluate, and understand our own emotions AND those of the people around us.
But did you know…
Individuals with high Emotional Intelligence make an average of $29,000 more than people with low Emotional Intelligence.
And that’s $29,000 more ANNUALLY!
Woah…
Now truly upgrade your real life and level up that self-awareness and empathy y’all! It pays off in more ways than you can possibly imagine ❤
P.S.
Does this advice mean I still have to warn you that I’m no financial advisor?
