Pumping out this much original and creative content all by oneself is no joke. But Porky Island is so funny and addicting that it also feels like the best kind of joke. Jonni brilliantly blends talent from so many different disciplines to form an incredibly fun and stylistic vision that makes Porky Island impossible to forget.

I had the privilege to chat with Jonni the Intern in preparation for this JPG Store Launchpad article, and it quickly became clear that Porky Island is meant to be a “Show, don’t tell” kind of passion project.

Jonni intends for the art and creativity to speak for itself. This is why we’re going to focus on the project instead of doing a deep dive exposé on the team.

Nonetheless, I can gladly say that Jonni the Intern is here creating NFTS for all the right reasons. Everything you witness is crafted out of love and passion. Since the beginning, Porky Island was a pursuit of art, not profit.

Also, the JPG Store Launchpad requires founders to pass a certain level of doxxing and “trustworthiness” measures to get accepted into the program. We’re happy to report that Porky Island easily passed with weird, but flying colors.

Remember how I said this project is all about showing instead of telling? Well, that’s exactly why you won’t find a whitepaper, a roadmap, a list of promises, or much documentation while attempting to DYOR.

Just pure style, creative essence, and an EHNEFTE culture so infectious that fans instinctively adopt the porky way of speaking without ever being nudged to do so.

Porky Island is also as grassroots and organic as you can get in today’s world of NFTs. No influencers bribed to shill. No bots or collabs for manufacturing attention. Just pure, organic engagement.

It’s ridiculous, yet beautiful at the same time… Honestly, what other NFT project can get away without providing the classic bare minimum information like this? However, big plans for the future do exist; It’s just not yet time to share the fun and juicy details.

Hey Cardano NFT fam, keep doing what you’re doing! Porky Island wasn’t originally planning to launch on our slice of NFT heaven. At least not until y’all seduced Jonni the Intern just by being yourselves and repping that Cardano spirit. Great work!

When talking about choosing a blockchain to build on, Jonni mentioned that Cardano’s community, tech, untapped potential, and overall SEGGSI vibes are why Porky Island has definitely found its cozy home on our blockchain.

MUSIC, MOSIC, AND MORE MSIK

Music is for sure gonna be a part of Porky Island all the way. This includes plans to create full songs while also releasing a bunch of small beats.

Several Porky Island Twitter followers even go so far as to describe the musical animations as “some of the best Cardano marketing they’ve ever seen”.

The sound, music, and voices are all about rhythm, melody, and the best of vibes. It’s nothing about being this or that accent, or anything in particular. Just talk, sing, or scream as you want!

There is no judgment on Porky Island. It’s all about letting playfulness thrive. Porky Island is for anyone with an open heart.

ALPHA & FUTURE UTILITY

When I asked about a roadmap or future utility, I was coyly teased that upcoming plans are more of a treasure map than a roadmap. And you can’t just run around showing treasure maps to the whole world like that! Porky Island’s future will also purposely remain flexible, fun, and fluid to empower maximum creativity on all fronts.

However, one piece of juicy alpha I am allowed to share is that any NFT in the collection can be used in future animations. This means the ENEFTE you mint might become the star character in a viral video someday!
