A Fist Full of Challahs
Or: How it feels making my weekly pilgrimage to the only Jewish Deli in my country.
The Jewish Virtual Library estimated a Jewish population of 291,000 in 2012, making Britain’s Jewish community the fifth largest in the world. This equates to 0.43% of the population of the United Kingdom. Up in Scotland we have only about 5,000 Jews, or less than 0.1% of the total population.
