The Jewish people are under attack
Harvey Minstan needed Bagels. His wife and three year old son were craving them, so Harvey headed off to Heavenly Bagels at nine thirty am on Sunday morning.
Heavenly was about eleven blocks from his house, so it was not a bad walk and a little exercise to start the day was always good. He was going to take his son Dovey with him, but the little boy was sleeping soundly and he didn’t want to wake him up.
Herbert however was ready to go. Herbert was their over zealous 3 year old beagle who was always ready for a walk. He joined the family the same week that Dovey was born. They were growing up together. It didn’t matter if it was eleven blocks or five miles, Herbert was ready for action.
The sun was beating down and the sky was blue it was the perfect day. Harvey couldn’t remember when he was in a better mood. He thought about his wife Elsie. She was a kind, compassionate girl and the fact she was his wife still seemed incredible to him. She was beautiful and smart and decent. He loved Elsie’s family and they doted on Dovey. In fact, as he walked he called his in-laws and invited them to join them for breakfast. They didn’t live far from his house. The readily accepted and he next called his parents. He sighed as he called. He wished they lived closer. He loved them with every ounce of strength…
