“My Jewish Friends Love Me”
Says the guy whose posts spread Jew-hate and misinformation
Dear Angry Professor who finally acknowledges that he is of Palestinian descent (as if that excuses his lie-packed responses to anyone who says anything positive about Israel).
Having Jewish friends doesn’t excuse the vitriol and unintelligent, bigoted nonsense you’ve been spouting about Jews and Israel. The record here on Medium shows you to be a small-minded bigot, intent on delegitimizing my people — and please don’t brag that you know more about Jewish culture than any of us (even the Jews who weren’t raised steeped in it). That’s just not relevant or true.
The world should want Palestinians to live in dignity and peace in their own land, but NOT as a reward for the vile Hamas attack on October 7th, NOT as a reward for holding 120 hostages for 10 months, and NOT while Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthi rockets are still raining down in Israel. The deaths of innocents in Gaza is horrible mostly thanks to Hamas. Free the hostages and there will be peace.
But you don’t say anything that promotes peace or co-existence.
Instead, you continuously attack Jews in one way or another. I had no idea where your people came from; this is the first time you’ve mentioned that you are of Palestinian descent. Until now, you just sound like a crazy person who lashes out with nonsensical misinformation.
How about advocating a 2-state solution (as far away as that seems) instead of calling names and blaming Jews for 80 years of Palestinian leaders refusing to accept the existence of Israel. There are kinder, smarter, greater minds than yours trying to find a way to connect despite continued Hamas (and other Iranian proxies) violence, and despite their insistence on a JIHADI, Jew-free Middle East (whose end game is a Global Caliphate).
I’m sure you’re aware that Hamas is not concerned with Palestinian autonomy or creating a democratic Palestine with equal rights for women, gays, and anyone else that doesn’t conform to their views. I’m sure you are familiar with what happens to those who don’t follow Hamas (and their ilk) rules. Whether or not you speak Hebrew (as do I), the “Jewish friends who love you” might not have had the opportunity to read some of your vile, uniformed comments here on Medium. Just stop.
This business of accusing Jews as “colonial settlers’ or “enacting genocide’ is a lie, and you know it. The British colonized the land. The Arab Conquest colonized the Middle East. Palestinians are not descendants of Ancient Israelites. Also, the U.S. is not the only country that supports Israel’s continued existence.
How about making comments that advance the conversation? How about accepting Israel’s right to exist, which it will despite your repeated slanders. You seem to want acknowledgement as a scholar of some sort — how about writing as a scholar would, based on fact and history as it was, not on partisan revisionism (much of it out of Iran)?
Nobody is blameless in this ongoing, complex situation. Nobody is going away (despite the crazy right-wing fundamentalists’ dream of destroying or expelling the other side). And if you are arguing for your people, then argue for them to live without being human shields or collateral damage by terrorists who raise Palestinian children to hate Jews.
As Golda Meir said, “Peace will come when Arabs love their children more than they hate ours.”
