What causes people to become radicalized and filled with Hate
Jeffrey Simons was always close with Jim Leland. They had grown up together in Markham and had played hockey together. They had gone to the same Public and High Schools and kept in touch during University. When they graduated from University they often got together.
When Jeffrey got married, Jim was his best man and vice versa. Their friendship was rock solid and when they had Grandchildren they celebrated.
Over the years they kept in touch, but somehow time slipped away and it was on Jeffery’s sixty forth Birthday that he received a call from his old friend.
‘’Jeffrey, it has been forever. I’m calling for a couple of reasons, first I wanted to make sure you were still alive, secondly I wanted to invite you to join me and my Grandson Wayne for dinner.’’ Jeffrey was surprised, but he thought it would be nice to meet the Grandson of his close friend. ‘’Geez Jim, I’m flattered. Do you want me to call my Grandson Philip to join us? Then the two boys could get to know one another the same way we did.’’ There was silence on the line. ‘’Uh, No, I uh have to explain. This dinner will be a little different. My Grandson has become a very loud opponent of Israel and to tell the truth I think against the Jewish people.
