Burning Coals

Ignite the Blight

Shoved
Burning coals
Down my throat
Dried tears of sorrow
Bore all for your tomorrow
Drowned my dreams to raise yours
What was once mine is now yours
How much longer must I fulfil your wishes
Extinguish my life for you like a cheap cigarette

Monument to my sins and an instrument to your glory

Stained my pale walls like a silent silhouette
You drove glass shards into my frail stitches
I bled your wounds are now mine
My insecurities were yours to mine
My time you did borrow
My soul your burrow
When will you
Set me
Free
