we, the entertained
watch you play
sun bursts through the clouds
us silly humans —
we expect so much from you
you give and we take
perhaps the circus
missed their star
your tricks are for us
it’s the little things
we long for in life, in love —
uplifts our spirits
we’re smitten with you
