Do you miss me like I miss you?

I fill my days with activities — reading, music, conversations, addictions, and mistakes. Do you miss me like I miss you? Do you fill your days with the most inane things just to avoid the very thought of me? You don’t, do you? You never did, didn’t you?

Nights are particularly difficult and stressful when I open your empty chatbox to see you online. You go on and off. On and off. And I look at it with a hope that you’re noticing me too. But I know you aren’t. I know my presence has quietly dwindled into a cold Winter whisper that you’ll forget by Summer.

I stumble and tumble and crumble. You’d know if you see me. You’d know that I’m still hurting like everyone around me know. But I fill my days with things I have no reason to do but to evade the thought of you. Maybe you don’t miss me the way I miss you. Maybe you shouldn’t.

Maybe I shouldn’t too.

Tune for the day:
