Goodbye

Stepping back, letting you go
That’s how I have come to realize
That life is sacrificial;
When I see you, through the window,
Walking,
I see a shadow
Chasing you endlessly,
Is that shadow mine?
Or, is it the sun playing with your body?
Tomorrow is a safety
As it hardly comes
Between us;
When I am willing to leave,
The winds will kiss your cheeks,
Whispering ‘Goodbye’
On my behalf.
