He walks past the bedroom door and peers into the shadowy room to see his lover naked, lost and adrift in her reflection in the mirror. She stands straight, her shoulders broad, her waist narrow, her silver hair an unruly tumble of curls down her back. Her body blocks his view of the mirror. He can’t see her reflection, the front of her, but through some trick of geometry his angle is just right to look over her shoulder to see the reflection of her…
