High Tide

Raindrops clasp
ethereal webbed scaffolds,
pulsing veins of morning
serene after the night’s
slaughter.

I awake with night dew
still clung to ramshackle thighs,
roused by your kiss, flooded
with unwashed summer
memories.

Whitewashed
beneath your gaze, the siren
of your voice calls me
greedily to your sea
to make more.
