Picnic on Ice

There are a few from this morning, that I really like. Flickr just lets you post one at a time (collage makes them too little) and Facebook lets you post multiples but you really have to open them to view in entirety, and no one seems to have the time to do that. Medium is just right. I can post as many as I like and you can see all the photographs on the same page. Love that. Enjoy!

Bella leading. Back by the cat tails there’s a ribbon of open water.
William, looking for reassurance (bottom right is broken ice. He went through a hole in the center and it scared both of us. His big wing flew out immediately, to balance him, and he was able to climb out. You know I would pull him out in a heartbeat if I had to.)
corn and oatmeal. Bella is standing. I was able to stomp a hole in the ice for some open water, where i’m standing in front of them (am standing *in* it, lol. They wouldn’t come to it, so I had to toss it to them. They need their food wet, or can’t swallow so well.
Bella. So aptly named.
