One day, Graham’s shadow abandons him.
Graham falls upon the kitchen floor.
“What’s happening to me?”
Alarmingly, his legs have disappeared.

“Father?”
Hunter’s jaw drops.
“Hurry! Get help!”
Nursing his throbbing cheek, Hunter doesn’t move.
Graham starts cursing.
“You really are the most useless, pathetic… Amy”.
Graham’s broken wife, smiles.
“How perfect. How does it feel to be reduced to nothing?”
Graham scowls.
“Help me, you heartless…”
He fades, then returns a changed man.

His replacement laughs.
“I helplessly watched as you reduced people to shadows. How does it feel?”
Graham doesn’t respond. Obediently, he follows his master’s every move.
