Surrealist Sonnet

An apple, green, attempts to hide a bowler hat,
a toilet, autographed, which generates some hype.
Faceless sculptures — muses. Now, the caveat:
an image tells that this is not a pipe.
A staircase where a nude descends,
a train is steaming out the fireplace.
Connected by two arteries — two Fridas — friends –
a rocking horse, behind Leonora, floats in space.
An armadillo climbs a woman’s dress;
two children threatened by a nightingale.
A fluffy spoon and cup — but I digress:
melting watches, almost drawn to scale.
“Everyone switch drinks!” Soupault will rave —
maniacally, laughs Dali, from beyond the grave.
