Supine:

Failing to act as a result

Of moral weakness.

……

No more morning dew

On strand or shore or tide,

No where left to hide,

Trying to stay alive

At this end-of-the-world.

…….

Beaches spray luminescence

Onto bodies which are hostages

To a fortune gone bad:

In this meat-heat abattoir:

Elephants butchered alive for ivory

Baby monkeys skinned alive — for bush meat.

Abominations abound

In this best of all possible worlds:

…..

Tearing down thousand year old trees

For furniture for the rich

Children poorer than the rocks and trees

Stand to serve the rich farangs

With their peculiar tastes and their hard hands.

…..

At this end of the world

Bioda Roe king of the sea is dead,

Poisoned by plastic and human shit,
