What I Cook In My Kitchen

What I cook in my kitchen
depends on what’s there.
What comes out, in the end,
is what I can prepare.

If there is bread, cheese, and ham,
and butter and a skillet,
I make a sandwich and I kill it.

If there are veggies, meat, and broth,
and a wide slow-cooker bowl,
I make a stew and it fills the hole.

What I cook in my kitchen
depends on supply and demand.
What comes out, in the end,
is what I have on hand.
