A Short Story

Two days before basic training and the Vietnam War, Rex sat in the room of a Tijuana motel pondering his next move. A great decision with one hour to make up his mind.

To get going for deeper Mexico or return to face boot camp, the battlefields, and the mirage of a nylon body bag invading his thoughts. A zip-lock casket gummed to the walls of his brain.
