Where is the Love?

Whitefriar St Church, Dublin

The martyred saint
Left a note for a blind girl
to whom he gave sight,
from Valentine, he wrote
without red roses or violets, too
Only Chaucer found love
in a Parliament of Fools.
Now blessed bones interred
in Whitefriar St Church,
where the Carmelite fathers
give bed and shelter
to the rejected homeless,
cast light and sight
on convenient blindness.
Where is the love, you ask?
