And I, through broken branches came:
I saw the signs, I called your name
And fearing that unblinking stare
(I do not know what led me there)
I stumbled forth and found you pale
Upon the ground a blackened veil.
By hearing those sweet words of yours
(With your hands clasped in mine once more)
You’ve led me to believe that I,
Who sleeps as lifetimes pass me by,
Must find a truth, an answer, yes?
I give my word, I’ll try my best.
