Summer of Sloss

This summer, Birmingham’s Sloss Furnaces hosted the inaugural Sloss Fest. The event was graced with many prominent bands of today, and a few old favorites. Follow the Kaleidoscope on a journey through the festival weekend.
Day One

Clouds Roll In
Just before Lord Huron took the stage, and for several minutes into the beginning of their set, dark clouds rolled over Red Mountain towards the festival. Luckily, the storm just missed the field and the party kept going.

Over the weekend, the Sloss Metal Arts Program hosted an event where people could have their own designs cast in iron.

This was the Odd Future catalyst’s first time in Birmingham, and the fans certainly seemed to appreciate him making the trip.
