2016 marked the 43rd anniversary of one of our favorite holiday traditions. Hundreds of tuba, sousaphone, and euphonium players from around Washington, D.C. gathered to play traditional Christmas music in the Concert Hall as part of our free Millennium Stage series, which features a free performance every day at 6 p.m. You have to see it to believe it.
A Jazz Piano Christmas
This year, the Kennedy Center and NPR presented a special family affair for our annual jazz holiday concert. Husband Bill Charlap and wife Renee Rosnes joined Chicagoans Willie Pickens and daughter Bethany Pickens to perform an infectiously joyful show of seasonal favorites in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Our Annual Presentation of The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker is a timeless holiday favorite. The Kennedy Center Opera House is the perfect backdrop to experience it anew, year after year. This season we welcomed Cincinnati Ballet to D.C. with its fresh production. Take a special peek behind the scenes at the company’s class, broadcasted live on Facebook this past November.
Kennedy Center Honors
