My FAVORITE Keto Coffee Recipe
Keto coffee (see also, bulletproof coffee), is foundational to the ketogenic diet. It’s the perfect way to start the day off right, boost ketosis, and boost your mind for a productive day. I probably start my day off with keto coffee every day, or every other day depending. In this post we’ll discuss the basics, then move on to my favorite suped-up keto coffee recipe.
Basically, What Is it?
The effect of keto coffee will be profound both mentally and physically. It can usually be used alone for breakfast and gives you an awesome boost. In essence, keto coffee is coffee that will jumpstart ketosis. This looks different for different people. Some people simply put some heavy whipping cream and stevia in their coffee and call it a morning, others trick it out with more intense ingredients. I think the simplest and most well-rounded keto coffee is as follows:
1 cup of you favorite coffee
Stevia to taste
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
heavy whipping cream to taste
Blend until mixed thoroughly.
This is a basic variation of keto coffee that is easy to make and procure the ingredients for. And trust me, it’ll get the job done. Between the fats and oils in the butter, coconut oil, and heavy whipping cream, you’ll be feeling the effects and will be starting a day of keto off right.
But, My Favorite…
But, my FAVORITE keto coffee is a little more intense. It is delicious and effective (credit to my mom Corissa for the recipe). To make two cups of coffee, the recipe is as follows:
2 cups of your favorite coffee
Stevia to liking
Heavy whipping cream to liking
Cinnamon to liking
1 scoop of Quest MCT oil powder (the container comes with a scoop)
1/2 scoop of Quest chocolate protein powder (the container comes with a very large scoop)
2 Tablespoons of Kerrygold butter
Blend until mixed thoroughly
Now that’s the way to start your day off right! Between the fats in the MCT oil powder, butter, and heavy whipping cream, and the protein in the chocolate Quest powder, you probably won't be hungry until lunch (if then). The flavors of the cinnamon and chocolate and everything else really make it tasty. Feel free to experiment, and even use a different flavor of Quest powder.
Well, there you have it. My all-time favorite keto coffee. Links to the more exotic items on the ingredient list will be listed below!
