“The Keystone” is a resource for entrepreneurship ecosystem builders, everything I wish I knew when I began working on building startup communities, about six years ago. I am learning so much from conducting the interviews, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone in this quickly emerging field.

The collected knowledge and experience of all these people is amazing. I soon discovered that we had so much in common and so much to learn from each other.

Cue The Keystone.

From New York to Nairobi, St. Louis to St Lucia, and everywhere in between, I’ve seen you working heads down on achieving those goals, strapped for cash, and coming up with creative solutions to systemic problems. Through my travels, I’ve been blown away by everyone’s commitment to their mission.

Every one of us is figuring this work out, but until recently, we’ve been largely scattered and disconnected. We’re just starting to write books, publish research, and produce conferences to share what we’re learning through on-the-job training. Many of the solutions we’re discovering to the challenges we face are very localized in our communities, when in reality, they could easily be applicable in similar settings across the country, and even around the world.

Next week, we’ll be launching the first podcast made for and by ecosystem builders. “The Keystone” is about featuring the wide variety of people in our field. We will be sharing our learning about specific issues, spreading awareness about the roles we fill, and breaking down barriers that exist on the path to success. We’re devoted to telling engaging stories, cataloging useful resources, and most importantly, helping you generate solutions.

We’ll be talking the talk about the walk we walk, every day, all over the globe. Why? because we’ve discovered that bringing knowledgeable people together enables seasoned veterans to support one another, while also helping those just entering the field to achieve more impact through innovation without having to figure everything out on their own.

We believe that the future of your city relies on the work that you do, and we’re here to help you 10x your investment of time and energy by networking you into the knowledge and experience you need to succeed: So join us on this journey!

How this podcast works:

Each new episode will share the story of a city, dive into a piece of the ecosystem puzzle, or discuss the survival skills of an effective ecosystem builders. We’ll publish show notes with all the resources mentioned in the interview, including contact info for our guests so you can reach out directly with questions, requests, or suggestions. You might just discover a partner for your next project, so tune in on a walk, at the gym, or during your commute.
