‘The KickStarter’ is a Medium publication and community of passionate writers, innovators, entrepreneurs, digital marketers, and side hustlers ready to help people solve their problems through their writing skills.

The publication is looking for more brains like yours to make an even more impact.

We would like you to contribute if you can give Medium readers actionable tips and tactics on the following topics!

These are just the main themes we expect to see in the story, but there are really no hard and fast rules for submission.

  • Writing and blogging tips
  • Startups & Innovation
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Business models & ventures
  • Growth stories
  • Case studies
  • Digital marketing (SEM, SEO, Content Marketing, Internet Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email marketing, etc.)
  • Design thinking applications and tools
  • Creativity
  • Self-help and motivation

Let’s note a few things that will help you (and us):

General Information

We cater to authors, entrepreneurs, digital marketers, marketers, bloggers, SMEs, and people who need help and motivation to start their journey.

We believe you can provide great value and insight.

We expect more actionable resources and answers without fluff.

Feel free to share your experiences and anecdotes whenever needed.

But we don’t want you to beat about the bush.

We want you to get straight to the point.

Here are some obligatory, boring rules and details you need to know.

Submission Rules

  • We only accept unpublished drafts and original content.
  • We do not accept posts solely intended to promote affiliate programs/products/brands.
  • We accept posts of at least 300 words as long as they add value.
  • You may not republish content published here elsewhere.
  • Please revise your posts and proofread them thoroughly to avoid basic spelling and grammatical errors.

The Mandatory Clauses

  • We reserve the right to reject your submission if we feel it is not suitable for publication, contains many grammatical errors or requires further editing.
  • We will NOT consider your submissions if you regularly remove your entries from publication.
  • All submissions must comply with Medium’s rules and ad-free policy.
  • Submissions must comply with the affiliate program stories and Medium’s content guidelines and curation policies.
  • Do not use copyrighted images. Use Medium’s built-in image gallery (Unsplash) or another free image bank such as Pixabay. Give full credit to the source of the image.

How to Submit the Story?

New writers must request a contribution to ‘The KickStarter’ for their first story.

Once your story has been accepted, we will add you as an “author” for publication.

After that, you can easily submit new stories (unpublished “drafts” only) via your Medium handle.

It may take up to 48 hours for your story to be added to our publication.

If you do not see an acceptance within this time frame, your story has probably not been accepted.

How to Submit a Draft?

If you are new to Medium, here are a few tips on how to submit your designs directly to “The KickStarter” via your Medium handle once you have been accepted as an author.

  • Open the story you want to submit from your Drafts. Click the dots icon at the top, then click “Edit story” to enter the edit mode.
  • Click the button in the top-right corner of the page to open your story settings.
  • Select “Add to publication” from the dropdown list.
  • Choose the publication you intend to submit to and click Save.
  • If you are a writer for the publication, then your draft will not be immediately submitted to the Publication.
  • You must click the “Ready to submit?” button at the top of the page in order to send your draft to the publication editors for review.

The editors of this publication will then have the opportunity to review your draft and submit it for publication.
