Watch it for the comedy, fast forward the rest
True, this is supposed to be an action thriller but I suggest just skipping past those dreadful things we are used to watching over and over again, the usual stuff, blood and gore, indefatigable superhero actors, the songs, the usual exploitation and melodrama. In fact I gladly did by forwarding the scenes.
To compensate for the usual crap is the comedy and this where the cast and director nailed it. The cast, particularly Devadarshini (who is such a talented actress and should have certainly been put to better use), Soori and his assistant Pugazh, the leads Suriya and Priyanka Arul Mohan and Sathyaraj and Saranya too. And though he is in a serious role, Illavarasu also adds to the fun. Rib tickling comedy and I was laughing away in no time.
Suriya is particularly charming considering how he is able to do the romantic scenes with a newbie as Priyanka. It was also a gutsy move by the director, creating a story involving an MLA’s son to the atrocities that happened a few years ago. Wasn’t this what happened at Pollachi? Was wondering where the “Unnale Unnale” guy went missing and nice to see Vinay Rai back, this time in a negative role.
