Iratta — A must watch!
The Martin Prakkat and Joju George combo delivers another winner
What a treat for Vishu! Watched this film on the 14'th and I just couldn’t stop writing about it.
After the incredible “Nayattu” this is another film that is going to take Joju George places. Martin hasn’t directed the film but co-produced it with Joju. I am not surprised it was another “Police” related story and have they excelled at that? This time it is the story and direction of Rohit M G Krishnan and movie just thrills and entertains from the beginning till the end.
If you are wondering if a middle-aged man with a distended waistline can win hearts and hordes of fans, the answer to that is a resounding “yes, and Joju George is doing just that”. “Joseph”, “Nayattu” and now this one “Iratta” are movies that even give the superstars of Malayalam cinema and their investigative thrillers a run for their money.
Excellent acting by the co-stars only adds to the quality of this film and even with no 6 pack bodies there is a decent fight scene in the film.
Nice to see Anjali back and in a role away from her Tamizh films. Even the sweet little romance that takes place in the film was handled beautifully.
Not wanting to mention any spoilers (as it is on Netflix now) in the poignant ending you are left wondering who was the nicer of the twins.
Highly recommended.
