Summer is slowly drifting to a close, but we had a great August at KitMapper HQ. We’re pleased to welcome two new members to the team, and have some exciting behind-the-scenes news that will give a whole new level of service to our users — watch this space for details.
It’s also been a busy time for the KitMapper community, who’ve been running and supporting a variety of great art shows and events.
In this post, we’re happy to be reporting on some of the projects that KitMapper has supported in the last few weeks.
Greg White hired a Zoom lens and CRT monitor used to create and display In/Ex-terior, a photo and video collage project on the relationship between interior and exterior space in London’s Barbican Centre. On show as part of Metasis, Goldsmiths’ MA/MFA Computational Arts degree show.”
Ruifan Wang hired a 40" flatscreen for her short stop-motion film, Between Sand and Tides, which was selected as a finalist for HIX Award 2016. The award was held at Unit London, 147 Wardour street, till 9th September 2016.
Strontium 92 (Alexis Milne) borrowed a radio mic set for his amazing performance <SCRABULOUS ANOMALY in The Rewrite Department version 5.1 >- Hover board readings from Nova Express by Bill I AM BUZZOG and Hypnotizing Chickens by IGNATIUS POP. This was performed as part of Hackney WickEd fest.
