Where are the Knicks with their offense?

New York’s offense has steadily improved since its early season woes. But Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek says the team still has much room to improve the intricacies of the Triangle he says they run less than half the time.

“Are we great at it yet? No. But I think they have an understanding,” Hornacek said. “The biggest thing is, I think they all know how to run it. It’s just to understand who should get the shot at the time, what would you do, which cut would you make.

“Let’s say Carmelo’s hot. Which entry pass should we make to try to lead it to Carmelo. So those are the things they’re working on and getting better at. Again, I don’t think a percentage of times that we actually run it anywhere near 50 percent of the time, a lot of it is early offense in the open court.”
