So, at around 7:30pm, the NBA released a statement declaring that earlier today, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver met with Knicks owner James Dolan, Knicks legend Charles Oakley, and Michael Jordan joined in over the phone.

To clear up any confusion, Michael Jordan is one of Oakley’s best friends, and as the greatest player in the NBA’s history, along with being a fellow NBA owner, he has some weight to throw around in this situations.

This is the full, released statement:

In the statement, Dolan states that he hopes Oakley “would return to MSG as his guest in the near future.” This effectively means Dolan’s short-lived ban on Oakley has been rescinded.

Dolan somehow found a way to stoop to a new low, and to be even more petty, by inviting Latrell Sprewell to Sunday’s game, and I’m assuming this must have been the final straw for the NBA.

So, this calls for more celebratory measures:

He was warned, he was given an explanation, nevertheless, he persisted.

I once asked Ronny Turiaf how it felt when Amare dunked on him, & lived to talk about it. TKW’s resident rec-league MVP. I’d give Raymond Felton buckets.
