A married couple who were expecting their first child attended their first prenatal class. The wife immediately tells the instructor that she feels her husband is not understanding what it is like for her being pregnant.
“Not to worry,” the instructor says, “this is a common phenomenon. But I know exactly what to do.”
The instructor then straps a bag of sand to the husband’s stomach and tells him that he has to wear it for the whole session.
At first, the husband is not too impressed with this, but after walking around a little with his fake bulge, he turns to his wife and says, “Actually, this isn’t too bad. I might even drop a few pounds if I do this more often.”
The instructor overhears, and then deliberately drops a pen and says, “You say that now, but I want you to pick up this pen exactly as your wife would, and see if you still think the same.”
