Don Your Best Tartan for a Night at The Ceilidh Club
Find your inner Scotsman at the Ceilidh Club this Friday. Running Gaelic dance nights since 1998, the Ceilidh Club is a wee bit of Scotland right in Hammersmith. No, you don’t need to know how to dance, and no, there isn’t a dress code, although your best tartan is encouraged. With a well-stocked bar and live music all evening long, it’s sure to be a night to remember.
Light it Up at Lumiere London
We know, everyone has been going on and on about Lumiere London, the light festival taking place across London this weekend. With more than 50 artworks, you’re invited to be dazzled by light shows across the city, transforming London’s streets. The best part? The entire festival is completely free, and Regent Street is pedestrianised for the weekend!
Discover Your Next Destination at the Adventure Travel Show
Thrill-seekers and off-the-beaten-track travellers will love the Adventure Travel Show descending on the Olympia this weekend. With over 100 inspirational talks, travel photography, writing and filming workshops, and an Adventure Travel Film Festival, you’ll definitely leave with a renewed sense of wanderlust and a bad case of itchy feet.
Feast Your Eyes on Degas at the National Gallery
This small exhibition at the National Gallery features 20 paintings, pastels and drawings on loan from the Burrell Collection in Glasgow. This rarely seen collection of lesser-known works gives a fascinating insight into Degas’s artistic development throughout the various stages of his life. Drawn in Colour: Degas from the Burrell is in residence at the National Gallery through to May 7th, and amazingly, admission is free.
Get Jazzy at Ronnie Scott’s
Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club will be hosting The Big Smoke Family this Sunday. The Big Smoke is a collective that plays unique music drawing on New Orleans funk and the spirit of Mardi Gras. Advance tickets are £8, or £10 at the door.
