How to Grow “THẦN TRÙNG” (the God of Insects)
Let’s go a little further to the northwest of Vietnam, where there are high craggy mountains, vast valleys, and forests full of wilderness and mystery. This is also where most of Vietnam’s ethnic minority residents live.
Because life here is difficult, inconvenient, and economically underdeveloped, people's thinking is quite backward. One of the proofs is that they firmly believe in gods, especially charms. One kind of charm, even if it is just a folk legend, everyone who hears it must be shocked, is the “God of insects.”
According to legend, many years ago, people here created a game in which animals would fight each other to find the champion. As time goes on, when the spells appear, the rules of this game are also applied to create a new spell. They put the evilest and most powerful insects (centipedes, scorpions, snakes …), one of each type, into a small jar and cover it within 3 days. These creatures because of their survival instinct will kill and cannibalize each other, leaving only one survivor in the end (sometimes not, they have to start a new battle again). ). This surviving insect is said to be the most powerful and cruel, known as the “God of Insects”.
After choosing the winner, it will be brought to the darkest and most hidden corner of the house, discreetly and surely no one will see it except the owners. Every month, exactly on the 15th day (according to the lunar calendar), the owners will need to feed the creature, it can be pork, chicken, or beef… but they are now allowed to forget to put a drop of blood on it. This is a taboo. Because they believe that only then, “Thần Trùng” will be loyal and follow their orders, otherwise, it can not identify the owners and then harm the whole family.
“God of Insects” is used by the people here for many different purposes. Some people raise it for wealth, prosperity, and peace. But some others use its power to do evil things such as harming people.
Those who have raised the “Thần Trùng” must not stop in the middle because it will generate hatred and harm the family. The only ones who can destroy it are experienced wizards and witches.
This type of spell has not yet been seen in real life by anyone, but for sure, almost everyone doesn’t want to get involved in it.
