A Bed of Roses

Mirrored in the skies

Photo by Cody Chan on Unsplash

I bought a card that wasn’t hard,
One door opens another closes,
I thought I’d go the extra yard,
Into a bed of roses.

Short and sweet, succinct and neat,
I told her how I missed her,
A simple way to meet and greet,
That was the way we were.
