The meadows grow pale,
winds rake, the colorful palette
looks frail,
summer sailing away,
wail, as they open the envelope
a mail for them, a notice,
it’s time to leave the town,
new guest arriving, clear up the space!

The sky with the greyer scarf,
coughed through the night,
on and off,
a phlegm of white snow
is all that will be left of her.

The golden sun,
filtering through the hamlet sky
a canopy of fog and mist,
counters his path
he fails to reach the duff,
returns halfway from the town.

Mellowed his tongue,
the frolic of summer fun
took a toll,
sore his throat
he fails to whistle the autumn song
takes leave too early on
goodbyes is only what he can spell.

The autumn cool breeze,
kiss the golden trees
and so did they kiss mine,
sauntering through my face
tear them apart, my lips like a rugged shawl
I crawl below the quilt and draw the curtains on!

The village up the hill,
surrounded by mist
valleys, blind alleys.
Not a foot wander around,
lest they forget their hometown
a graveyard of white soon,
milestones to hide beneath!

Cuckoo pulled the mike out
plucked in the wire,
he has to sing a soulful song;
song of life, song of love
audible and aloud,
put his stereo full on!

The chiming of a chapel bell
down a forlorn village
the rhyming lyrics of carols
breaks the silence on the ground.

Leaves cocoon in warm clothes
shivering still, they hug the ground
strangulated their veins, choking blue,
bleed scarlet into brown,
below the tunnel, they lie
until spring comes calling their name aloud!

A golden landscape
in a frame of amber,
some tinge of orange, red, green,
yellow and brown,
and wine,
takes my heart away
O’ autumn, O ’autumn
stay on until it’s time to leave
with a promise, you will visit soon!
winters knock door but your golden floor,
a short recess before the stillness
will keep me through
