Bandages on Invisible Wounds
Wounds open wounds deep

Bandages on invisible wounds
heal in vain.
Wounds open, wounds deep,
seeping poison as they bind,
releasing toxins of the past
beneath the cotton fibres of the bandages.
These invisible wounds are felt but not ever seen.
