Blue Within this Green

A sonnet

This blue is not as blue without the green,
But in this flood of spring it’s hard to see,
With this much growth, where none before has been,
There’s still some sad within what seems happy.

Colors appear in waves throughout the year,
More pulse than pause a beat before the next,
Seasons in seasons a rhythm is clear,
Not for nothing this musical effect.

A cool steady drizzle begins to fall
These blues become, ever, so much bluer,
Green is greener still than last time recalled,
It could be the view, could be the viewer.

There always was some blue within this green,
Calming creeping thoughts appear so serene.
