We buy time to see if we can match the pace of life

I was a little fellow,
looked at the timepiece.
The motive was selfish.
I wanted to know
mommy’s time.
She had taught me to see the time.
I thought I was wiser than time.
Going to college, I had my own
time, a watch was given by my brother,
who worked and could buy time.
Years went by, and the day arrived,
when I could buy time.
I got so used…
