Long in the past, I found a love
Of a dear heart, I taught at school
Flashed into my class that day
An Angel she was in her teens
Surpassed beauty of that scene
Her curly fringes faired her face
Rowing brown eyes added grace!

Waving at me across the gate
She stole my days, I confess
Was my fairy sent to bless?
Many days froze at my pace!
Smashy smiles, I never missed
Appealing love then, I guessed
Seconds fractioned in my mind
Were often paused to rewind!

Earnest in studies, she excelled
Stood apart for many reasons
Days fused to form new months
She drew herself closer and said,
If I were her mother, she wished
To call me so, she had prayed
My tears spelled the words I had
Endearing moments we shared
That true love I felt at heart
Had no parallels ever after!
