Mommy calls me melodramatic and precocious because I have a flair for the dramatic and understand the big words she uses, unlike my little brother who is so docile that he’s called special. She says her biggest fear is that I will get myself into trouble and that he will be hurt, intentionally or not, by others — so she’s always keeping an eye on us. But I think her fears run deeper…
