I wish I slept on your lap,
And once again wrote our love poem
But I am here counting days
Remorse-pain-you left,
Tangled along the time.

I wish I woke up with your smile again,
And asked that kiss to lemme sleep,
But here I am counting days,
Waking up at midnight,
Sweat of our separation once again.

I wish I made you promise,
And asked you to stay with me on this journey,
But here I am counting days,
Of love, we spent together,
Then forever and today’s forever past.

I wish she never came,
to take my spot- on your lap -your life,
But here I am counting days,
Seeing you live those moments,
You did spend with me.

I wish we never broke up,
Was that right then — today a mistake?
But here I am counting days,
Celebrating our years — anniversary,
Through which we never stayed.

I wish you just don’t spend this day with her,
Just be mine for today-give me back my smile
But here I am counting days,
Seeing old pictures of us,
Crying over the days we never spent.

I wish you to be back,
Just for today,
And let this count start again,
Maybe from tomorrow,
Till the next one.
