The Lark

Dark Academia

From an aesthete’s journal

Because I live a strange life,
Reading Latin for fun,
Listening to Mozart for calm.

Late at nights,
The ghosts in my closet
Come out and guide my hand
And my mind,
Spew words of poetry,
Of anguish, of pain and of lust;
Stain the love letters with
The iron in my blood,
Taking care to leave enough
For the blood feuds
