Early Cooling Thunder

A sonnet

Towering fast-moving clouds give some hope,
To this dry garden on this late spring day.
Wilting and hot greenhouse growth needs a soak,
Cracked earth desert watches sky turning grey.

Gentle lilting breeze pulls oppressive heat,
Spray of showers, early cooling thunder.
So many flowers with a scent so sweet…
