Farewell to the Softest Beast Ever
A brief goodbye poem — (I could add more words but then I’d never stop)
OH! How I miss this passionate beast;
His zest for life — it never ceased.
He kept me warm like the softest fleece, and
Was everyone’s friend; left everyone pleased.
He ate his meals as if always a feast,
And invariably pooped with butt facing east —
Until I observed his energy decrease,
And whines before vomit that smelled like yeast —
Seems cancer’s evil was unexpectedly released,
Without a chance of its surcease.
When the vet reported its massive increase
We had to say goodbye (still crying), and wish eternal peace.
[Farewell, Romeo. You were the BEST rescue Samoyed EVER.]
