“That’s how you thank everyone?”

Evan’s voice softened, yet a trace of hurt lingered in his eyes, his concern palpable as he gazed at Elsa. She squirmed under his gaze, her cheeks tinted with a rosy hue, a clear sign of her unease.

“I-I didn’t mean it that way,” Elsa mumbled, her words barely audible amidst the surrounding noise.

Evan’s touch on her waist felt both reassuring and possessive, a silent claim on her.

His grip subtly tightened, a blend of affection and determination in his expression.

“From today onwards, you will not kiss anyone except me.”

His voice held a tender resolve, hinting at the depth of his emotions for her.

Elsa’s wide eyes darted nervously, a mix of vulnerability and confusion swimming within them. “This was not the kiss. It was just a thank-you gesture,” she rushed to explain, her voice tinged with regret and a touch of innocence.

He studied her intently, a whirlwind of emotions flickering in his gaze.

“So what exactly is a kiss, according to you?”

Evan’s question carried a hint of teasing, an attempt to ease the tension between them while silently yearning for her understanding.
