From Darkness to Light
Part four
You’ve heard about me Robbing drug dealers and as I said it was great and lucrative because it couldn’t be reported.
The only thing you have to worry about when you’re robbing drug dealers is that it’s only something that can happen once a year. Because if somebody’s out there, robbing drug dealers every month, they’re going to get caught and put down.
I started building my crew. That way we could concentrate on one thing. The thing about a gang back then was that if you had sticks and bats you were bad. If you had a gun you were untouchable. Most gangs work together just to protect each other from other larger gangs, but I wanted to make money, so that’s what I set out to do with my crew.
I’m about to tell you some of the ridiculous crimes that we did.
We started making money by drilling into drink machines, pay phones, and meters taking the money. We would go roll the quarters even though it took a lot of time we still had money we would take that money to the flea market and we would trade in the roles of quarters to the main office for cash. These are some country-ass crimes LOL! We would also go to the flea markets where I grew up working, pop locks, pull open the doors, and grab merchandise ponchos starter hats knock-off Nike shirts, and other items. We would take them to another flea market and sell them to the vendors who pretty much knew why they were getting it that cheap.
Sometimes when you decide to do things you should think them through a little harder. One of the comical parts of this story is, that back then they also had trucks that drove around selling meat steaks and top-quality meat.
One day we decided to Rob this guy someone would pull a car in front blocking the truck while others got out at the time I didn’t have a real gun so we had our hands under our shirts as if we had them and yelled for the driver to put his face on the steering wheel. Once the driver's face was on the steering we began to fill up the trunk of my 76 Buick Skylark with meat hoping to sell it. Well, no one wants to buy me from door-to-door from a bunch of teens who were selling it out of a 76 Buick Skylark which makes me laugh my ass off now. Of course, we took some meat home and had to throw the rest away. Talk about earning a name, Meathead!
Well besides the other things that we did and as the world began to progress, out came the first lot of cell phones and calling cards; this would be our next hit.
I had a job working for a privately owned singular wireless store which was robbed twice for phones and calling cards I did a good job of acting as if I was scared behind the counter, no one knew who was behind the masks. I tell you, this would be another whole opportunity, and deeper down the rabbit hole I would go.
I did warn you readers that before I became a good guy I was a young punk. I wouldn’t see that then, but now older and wiser I see that now.
To be continued…
Part 5 will be out soon.
